Lyrics
Snowing in Beijing
It’s snowing in Beijing
Falling soft on the cherry trees
Red latterns light the crooked alleys
Postcard shots of you and me
It’s snowing in Beijing
Tiananmen Square’s a frozen mile
Ghosts are howling in the air
I long to light a candle
But spies are lurking everywhere
in Tiananmen Square
Jasmine tea and Chairman Mao
Are mingling in my brain
I wonder what he’s thinking now
Most things change, a few remain
A few remain
If I could stop the hands of time
It’s here that I would place them
And all our heartaches yet to come
I’d mercifully erase them
We’ve never looked so happy
I can’t believe it’s true
That in the end my journey
Won’t bring me back to you
Back to you
It’s snowing in Beijing
Falling soft on the cherry trees
Red latterns light the crooked alleys
Postcard shots of you and me
It’s snowing in Beijing
